Video Jam & RNCM present Baraka

Video Jam & RNCM present a screening of Ron Fricke's Baraka on FRIDAY 10TH OF FEB
We will be scoring the opening 15 mintues in a musical relay alongside:

Flamingods
My Panda Shall Fly
AFRODEUTSCHE
Daniel Lim (RNCM composer), performed by RNCM students
Eldad Diamant (RNCM composer), performed by RNCM students

Originally shot in 25 countries on six continents, Baraka brings together a series of stunningly photographed scenes to capture what director Ron Fricke calls 'a guided meditation on humanity.'

Hailed as Manchester’s ‘leading audiovisual masterminds’ (Time Out), Video Jam is an event series which commissions musicians to compose and live perform original accompaniment for contemporary film. This projects marks the culmination of 3 years work with six different composers, each of whom have been given a section from the feature length work to score live, one after the next, in a unique musical relay. You'll hear many contrasting musical styles as the score moves seamlessly from electronic to percussive to contemporary classical.
